London-Based Small Business? Grab a £30,000 Grant – Here’s How

Mayor’s Resilience Fund - Helping London Bounce Forward

The coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt how we work and live. But even in the face of such disruption, there are still opportunities to adapt and grow our businesses for the good of our communities and the people in them – in fact, never has it been more important.

The Mayor’s Resilience Fund is one such opportunity for London-based organisations.

The £1 million innovation programme aims to support London’s small businesses and community groups with innovative ideas to help London ‘emerge stronger from the current coronavirus crisis, and to ensure the capital is better prepared for future disruptive challenges’, through the awarding of grants, as well as access to expert knowledge and insight.

What is Available?

Grants of up to £30,000 will be available to support the design and testing of innovations that:

  • Build digital and data tools to help London emerge from the current crisis, and fare better during future stresses and shocks.
  • Help small businesses and community organisations to adapt and diversify.
  • Create positive social change that addresses London’s major stresses – from inequality to food insecurity and poor health and wellbeing.

Who Can Apply?

The fund is open to applications from almost any type of organisation, as long as your work aligns with the fund’s themes – to help London’s small businesses and civic society emerge from the coronavirus crisis stronger and more resilient. Some examples include:

  • London boroughs and sub-regional partnerships.
  • Town teams and business improvement districts.
  • Workspace providers.
  • Community groups.
  • Social enterprises.

What Can the Grants Be Used For?

The Mayor’s Resilience Fund is focused on funding a variety of projects that will help London’s small businesses and civic society emerge from the coronavirus crisis stronger and more resilient. Eligible projects must come from a London-based team with a registered company or charity in the UK.
