Meet Chitendai Ltd
Chitendai Ltd is a renewable energy company that combines advanced solar and microelectronic technologies to develop SMART solar installations.
Chitendai’s technology bring together high-quality design and the latest energy technologies, delivering affordable, reliable, clean energy solutions to customers in the tropics and hot subtropical regions of the globe.
Chitendai’s innovative technology leads the field and is being recognised globally.
We partnered with Chitendai to help them recoup relevant R&D costs to further advance their mission to make energy affordable and accessible.
Expert Analysis and Compliance Support
Grantfy’s R&D tax specialists worked closely with Chitendai’s team to review a number of projects during the relevant time period, analysing each project in isolation. This way, we ensured we were focusing only on eligible projects.
A thorough checklist was carried out to ensure compliance with the R&D scheme for SMEs, and the associated guidance and legislation.
We also carefully analysed expenditure to ensure likelihood of reimbursement, and ensured only the activities that offered a significant advancement in science and technology, and which were not able to be easily carried out by a competent professional working in the appropriate field, were included in the claim.
Once completed, the final documentation was reviewed by our team of qualified in-house accountants, with over 20 years’ experience. With expert approval, we then submitted the claim on behalf of Chitendai, all part of our convenient, end-to-end service.
HMRC triggered a compliance check upon submission of the claim, but this was successfully defended with Grantify’s expert support.
Successful Claim, Further Investment
The successful and significantly large claim has been a huge win for Chitendai, empowering them to reinvest in their business, and continue their vital work to bring clean, accessible energy to communities that need it most.
